Care Instructions
How to maintain your jewellery?
Anything plated will eventually tarnish with time and wear.
With proper care and maintenance, your Curious Curator jewellery will last several years. Here are some of our care instructions:
- Remove jewellery while showering, bathing, exercising and swimming (particularly at the beach).
- Avoid wearing your jewellery immediately after applying lotions, perfume, hand sanitiser, etc.
- To avoid tarnishing, wipe jewellery after use with a microfibre cloth that does not contain any polishing agents and chemicals.
- When not in use, store your jewellery in a fabric lined box, and away from heat. An airtight box is ideal to minimise the oxidation of the Sterling Silver base.
- Store Gold Vermeil and Rhodium plated jewellery separately. Keeping different metals separate will prevent tarnish, fading & discolour.
How to care for your handmade ceramics?
- All pieces have been fired twice, however, due to the nature of handmade ceramics, hand-washing is always recommended.
- Most Klay pieces do not have a foot at its base, but are sanded down to be as smooth as possible. Therefore, to prevent scratches on any surfaces, a coaster is always recommended.
