From its inception in Sydney, Australia, and now based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Curious Curator started with the love for jewellery and with the mindset of buying less, but buying better.

Curious Curator was created because I wanted to offer modern women an alternative to the numerous gold-plated brands in the market.

In my previous role as a luxury fashion buyer, I celebrated a successful overseas work trip by treating myself to an initial bracelet from a luxury French brand. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that the bracelet was gold-plated onto brass AND it cost me more than A$500. I knew I was paying for the brand and I was not going to receive fine jewellery but I thought maybe demi-fine? Needless to say, the bracelet didn’t last very long. 

With Curious Curator, I wanted to offer quality pieces that are also affordable, minimalist & timeless. The result - all our jewellery has a 925 Sterling Silver base and is plated to a thickness of 2.5 microns with either 14k Gold Vermeil or Rhodium.

After moving to Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 2022, I continued my exploration of slow-making with clay, either by hand-building or wheel-throwing. Consequently, Curious Curator evolved to also selling hand-made, small batch, functional ceramics, under the brand, Klay.

With time and new experiences, who knows what else will be in store for Curious Curator?
