Philosophy
buy less, but buy better
Every day is a journey.
From its inception in Sydney, Australia, and now based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Curious Curator started with the love for jewellery and with the mindset of buying less, but buying better.
"Curious Curator was created to offer modern women an alternative to the numerous gold-plated jewellery brands in the market. I wanted to offer quality pieces that are also affordable, minimalist & timeless."
After moving to Amsterdam in 2022, Curious Curator evolved to also selling one-of-a-kind, handmade ceramics by Klay.
"Thank you for being a part of this journey & for curating with me."

What is Gold Vermeil and why it is better for you?
What is Gold Vermeil?
Gold Vermeil (pronounced ‘ver-may’) is a technique that involves plating Fine or Sterling Silver with a layer of Gold.
For jewellery to be classified Gold Vermeil in the US, the Gold used has to be at least 10 karats and 2.5 microns thick.
Gold Vermeil vs Gold Plated
Gold Plated jewellery involves applying a thin layer of gold (usually 0.5 microns or less) on top of a less valuable metal, such as brass & copper. As a result, although Gold Plating is more affordable, it is far less durable than Gold Vermeil.
Curious Curator's Commitment
All of Curious Curator’s Gold Vermeil jewellery has Sterling Silver (92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% other materials) as its base material and is plated with 14k Gold at a thickness of 2.5 microns. This is at least 5 times thicker and longer-lasting than gold-plated jewellery.
When buying Gold Vermeil jewellery from other brands, do research on the thickness of their plating!
